Leatherwood Place, Brookfield.
The Brief
My clients had recently refurbished their house in a modern, classic style using earthy and natural tones and textures as their style and colour palette. They wanted a complete garden overhaul based on the same style as seen inside the house, with an emphasis on a contrast in plant texture and structure in a contemporary yet soft and attractive aesthetic. Being a family of four, they wanted to update and upgrade their pool and entertainment area in order to spend more time in this space with friends and family.
The Result
A complete swimming pool renovation transformed a very dated shape. Having to retain the curved corners, we laid 600 x 600mm earth coloured pavers right up to the edge of the pool and changed the waterline tile to a much more attractive, complimentary blue and grey mosaic tile. The installation of a seamless glass pool fence opened up the magical views from this property’s hill top position whilst providing a far more contemporary feel in this entire area.
The addition of a covered structure on the expansive deck alongside the pool now provides a functional seating area, perfect for outdoor entertaining with breathtaking views in the distance. The chosen plant palette was filled with plenty of varied water wise ground covers, grasses, natives as well as structural feature plants positioned adequately to provide interest alongside pops of colour seen here and there.
